COMMUNITY OUTREACH AT BOKWAI VILLAGE

The Integrated Health Organization on this day (25th April, 2018) decided to organize a community door to door sensitization in the locality of Bokwai, Buea South West Region.  The activity was aimed at educating the inhabitants of this village on the causes, signs and symptoms, prevention and treatment of Malaria. They were encouraged to keep their surroundings clean and void of standing/open air water especially as the rainy season is fast approaching. They were also exhilarated to stop the habit of self-medication as this had led to drug resistance.

Follow up Plan:

  • Carryout free malaria screening.
  • Free distribution of mosquito nets.
